NORCROSS, Ga. — Akzo Nobel has received approval by Chrysler LLC for use of Sikkens Autowave and Lesonal WB, two products that are VOC compliant waterborne basecoats.

“Currently all California collision repair centers are required to implement waterborne paints by the end of 2009,” says Akzo Nobel’s Director of Marketing, Tim Loden. “Legislation and social trends are propelling us toward a greener environment. Chrysler collision centers and body shops using our products will be well prepared for the future. This is a testimonial to the quality work done by our product development team. These products are more environmentally friendly without compromising quality or ease of use.”
