The Hotel InterContinental in Berlin will be the venue for the ninth International Bodyshop Industry Symposium (IBIS) June 10-12, 2009.

"Germany has long been one of the most advanced and influential markets in the body repair sector, while Berlin provides a geographical and historical link with the rapidly emerging repair markets of Eastern Europe," says Chris Mann, IBIS chairman. "The IBIS team, led by conference director David Lingham, is already well under way with the creation of an exciting new symposium program. Their objective is to deliver high-quality content and a format designed to stimulate debate."

Seven confirmed IBIS sponsors are: 3M, Audatex, AUTOonline, E.M.M., Car-O-Liner, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Honda.

"IBIS is all about exchanging ideas, bringing key players from all sides of the industry together and seeking joined-up, sustainable solutions to global issues," Mann says.

The cost of the IBIS 2009 standard delegate package is GBP 1,650 (U.S. $2,877). This includes two nights lodging; delegate's welcome dinner; international dinner; breakfasts, refreshments and lunches; full delegate manual; and the IBIS 2009 proceedings report (supplied on CD after the event). A partner's package, based on shared accommodation with spouse or partner, costs GBP 550 (U.S. $959) and includes all of the above except attendance at the symposium and the symposium publications.

IBIS organizers will work with several global publishing partners, including ABRN in the United States.
