JEFFERSON BARRACKS PARK, Mo. — The first Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri Stories of Light Kick-Off Event and Balloon Glow is scheduled Nov. 17 at Jefferson Barracks Park in South St. Louis County. The fundraising event will include a car and motorcycle show, craft show, live music and food, and will culminate with a hot air balloon glow with more than 20 balloons.

The event also will feature a special appearance by the CARSTAR Super’Stang, a recreation of a unique 1967 Mustang created by the Ford Motor Company, but never made available to the general public. The Super’Stang is in the midst of an 18-month “Muscle Tour” to highlight the minimum $155,000 commitment that CARSTAR has made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation nationally and the more than $20,000 commitment that the St. Louis CARSTAR group has made to the local Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri.

At the end of the tour in January 2009, the vehicle will be auctioned with net proceeds also going to the cause. Additional information about the tour is available at www.carstarsuperstang.com.
