MANKATO, Minn. – The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) will host its third annual conference March 22-24, 2009 at the Omni Parkwest in Dallas, Texas, when the keynote speaker will be Marjorie Brody, an internationally recognized speaker who has authored 18 books and served as key advisor to the media and broadcast industries. Brodie will speak on the characteristics, behaviors and strategies that lead to personal and career growth. Other speakers will present on managing change, reading and understanding financial documents, and employment law issues impacting a diverse workplace. This year’s industry overview will be presented by John Edelen, president and CEO of I-CAR. “We strive to balance the content of our conference taking into consideration the diversity of our membership, which includes women who regularly attend many industry events, students, and those who may have been in the industry for a while, but have never attended an industry event,” says Frederica Carter of AkzoNobel Coatings, chair of the 2009 conference. “We find that apart from the stimulating conference material, attendees really enjoy networking in an environment where everyone is welcome regardless of their background.”For information on registration visit www.womensindustrynetwork.com by Jan. 10, 2009.
