The search for nominees for the 15th annual National Auto Body Council (NABC) Pride Awards continues, an effort spearheaded by the newly formed Pride committee. The Pride Awards recognize those in the collision industry who selflessly donate their time, energy and financial resources to worthy causes outside the industry. The purpose of the Pride committee is to extend Pride's outreach and ensure worthy nominees are identified and brought to the attention of the industry in a timely manner. Each committee member has been assigned a specific area of industry focus, adding a dimension of scope to the nominating process not previously possible. "This year we felt an expansion of the committee to cover all industry segments would contribute to improving the overall industry response," explains Pride co-chair Bob Keith. "With this additional participation, each committee member can reach out to thesegments with which he or she is most familiar and make a personal request for nominations." The 2010 Pride committee is composed of the following collision professionals (listed by name, company and industry focus): "Facilitating the search for nominees with a committee helps ensure a full roster of deserving individuals to celebrate," explains Pride co‐chair Janet Chaney. "The committee is excited and enthusiastic and attending to the task at hand. It's heartening and representative of what the National Auto Body Council is all about." Nominations, which close on September 15, 2010, may be made online at the NABC Web site, www.autobodycouncil.org, with a downloadable form that can be printed and faxed to the NABC office.
