WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio - Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corp. (SWAFC) will hold a second A-Plus University EcoLean workshop at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, June 9 – 10, 2009.

The EcoLean workshop was developed for collision shop owners and managers interested in leveraging the power of lean production along with business solutions that reduce environmental waste.

“The EcoLean program included extensive training workshops, consulting services and an invaluable practical shop assessment guide,” says Marsh Gluchow, owner and CEO, Valley Motor Center, Van Nuys, Calif.  “The assessment included tools to generate measurable energy reductions using innovative products and equipment solutions and enables a collision center to identify areas of greatest environmental waste, how to build a waste reduction plan and track the results.

EcoLean was built around an idea that SWAFC calls P3, designed to help body shops improve their productivity and profitability, while reducing the environmental impact on our planet, according to Rodes Brown, SWAFC manager–marketing strategic programs.

Brown noted, “We see the market moving rapidly toward leaner and more environmentally responsible business models, and we have now built a compelling set of tools and services to help our customers drive efficiency and reduce waste, both financial and environmental.”
