Do you run the top collision repair shop in the country?Contest open until Sept. 4

Source: Automotive Body Repair News

To find out, you have to enter ABRN’s Top Shop Contest.

It’s easy to do. Here are the four simple steps:
• complete your company profile;
• write an essay based on 15 aspects of your business;
• provide the appropriate photographs showing various areas of your shop; and
• submit all materials to ABRN by Sept. 4, 2009.

We’ll pick 10 winners. From that group one will be named the Grand Prize winner and will be featured on the cover of the December 2009 issue of ABRN. All 10 winners will be profiled in an in-depth report inside the magazine and on our Web site. You can’t buy free publicity like that. In addition, each winner will receive a handsome wall plaque for all your customers to see.

There’s something special about being named the first-ever ABRN Top Shop. We hope you take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to find out why this is such a big deal.

Good luck to all.

Rocci's Auto Collision was just voted best Auto Body Shop in Morgan Hill, by the Morgan Hill Time readers. Rocci & Family moved to Morgan Hill in 1971 & started the business in 1974, serving South County for 35 years & have always aspired to give excellent service & repair. We are a family run business that has grown with Morgan Hill. Rocci started in the trade when he was 15 when all you needed was a few tools & floor pull.Over the years as the vehicles have becone more complex to repair, Rocci & family have received the continuing education that was & is needed to repair today's vehicles. We are proud to have the equipment necessary for a state of the art facility. Rocci has always maintained that customer service is his #1 priority. Rocci's family continues his tradition.

I DON'T run a "top shop", I work on the stuff they don't want to work on. While they aspire to do a good job AND make a profit, I pick up their leftovers and fix the cars that top shops deem as "unprofitable". In this tough economy I am swamped with more work than I can handle while other shops turn away work that doesn't meet their "minimum profit criteria". If this economy continues, those guys will slowly go out of busniness.

If I where a part of the judging staff for this Top Ten program, I would look for things like what these shop do for their communities(supporting charities) as well as how they are looked at by there peers. Profits don't reflect "BEST: as this is what this country has based it's successes on and this is why we are where we are as a country "Bigger Better Deal" a sad state of affairs if you ask me. Go get e'm !

I dont think it is right that you extended the dead line. We worked very hard to have ours in by the deadline and if you are claiming to be a top shop then you should not need an extension. Meeting a deadline is very important. If you had an employee late for work would they be considered one of your top employees no. If they didnt take it serious then they obviously are not a top shop. Not meeting a deadline or late for work is a sign of laziness.
