The national vehicle donation program aptly titled Recycled Rides, has assisted many needy families and worthy organizations throughout the country since its inception. This impact is due in part to a collaboration of more than 50 collision repair shops partnering with insurance, paint and parts companies through the National Auto Body Council. Carl’s Collision Center of Fall River, Mass., says it was proud to participate in this program. Allstate Insurance donated the vehicle, while Chemspec USA donated the paint, and Carl’s own staff provided time and expertise to repair the vehicle. The presentation was attended by a group of Massachusetts elected officials and business leaders including; State Senator, Joan Menard; State Representative, Kevin Aguiar; Carl Garcia, Co-Owner of Carl’s Collision Center; Chuck Sulkala, the Executive Director of National Auto Body Council as well as all the Fall River City Councilors, the Mayor and Mayor-Elect. While many of the Recycled Rides are designated for needy families, this one went to the Fall River Council on Aging. “No one will be happier than I to take our oldest vehicle off the road and replace it with this newly refurbished 2001 Chrysler Voyager Minivan,” says Pauline D. Gousie, associate director for this local chapter. For more information, call (800) 328-4892 or visit www.chemspecpaint.com.
