PROSSER, Wash. – The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) has hired Aaron Schulenburg as the association's executive director, who will bring his combined experience in collision repair businesses, associations and inter-industry relations to SCRS and its affiliates. He will begin his new duties on Jan. 5, 2009.

Schulenburg currently serves as the administrator of the Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG) and previously held positions as an executive officer of the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association (WMABA), a director of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), and has also been a guest speaker before state and regional associations, business development groups, annual corporate conferences, and at both national and regional forums.

"Aaron Schulenburg is an excellent choice on multiple fronts," says SCRS Chairman Gary Wano, Jr. "Clearly, Aaron provides SCRS with a highly qualified and respected individual within our industry to serve as SCRS' executive director. In addition, Aaron's working relationship with the leadership of the national trade associations will enhance the already strong bonds between the SCRS, ASA, and AASP."

"Working with the DEG has been a very fulfilling and exciting experience," says Schulenburg. "It was not just what was done, but how it was done; with the cooperative efforts of all three national associations. With these relationships already in place, there is great opportunity for more ideas and initiatives between SCRS, ASA, and AASP that can show the industry by example SCRS' adage that 'Working Together Is The Most Important Work We Do.'
